WIRING

98% of the wiring has been replaced. Tinned marine grade wire has been used.

2/0 awg cable has been used for the battery banks and main supply. All lugs are mechanically crimped and heat shrunk using silicon to perfect the seal.

The anchor winch is supplied by tinned 2 /0 awg cable. The solenoid to activate it is mounted under the forepeak bunk so as no water can get to it.

All systems are correctly fused and the new Heart Inverter /charger( Freedom 15) takes care of the power requirements.

She has 660 amp hour of Trojan  deep cycle  golf cart batteries for the house and a separate 120 amp hour battery to start the engine and genset.

In the event of the start battery being weak switching facilities are in place to harness the house bank to start the engine or genset.

She has a 3,5kw Ferryman genset situated on a rack above the main engine.

220 v and 110 v are available.

The wires curled in a circle to the right of the picture are additional wires going to switches on the Distribution Board that are laced into the wiring loom but  have not yet been used. Additional equipment can now be fitted without the wiring looking nasty.
